A leading logistics and distribution company operating across the Indian Ocean region is looking to hire a skilled Data Analyst – Supply Chain & Logistics to join its growing team in Mauritius. Role Summary
As a Data Analyst for Supply Chain & Logistics, you’ll play a key role in optimizing operations through data insights. You’ll work closely with the operations, procurement, and transportation teams to monitor performance, identify trends, and recommend data-backed improvements across warehousing, fleet management, and demand forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and validate data from ERP systems, fleet tracking software, and third-party logistics providers.
- Analyze supply chain KPIs (e.g., delivery time, order accuracy, cost per shipment) and provide actionable recommendations.
- Develop and automate dashboards and reports using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.
- Forecast inventory needs and identify stock risks based on demand data.
- Assist in route optimization and fuel efficiency reporting for the transportation division.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost reductions and improve service levels.
- Contribute to logistics strategy through scenario modeling and predictive analytics.
- Present insights to management and provide data to support strategic decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Strong skills in SQL, Excel, and at least one BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Understanding of supply chain processes, warehousing, and transport logistics.
- Comfortable working with large data sets and building dashboards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Background in fleet or route analysis.
- Familiarity with Python or R for data processing.
- Exposure to Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
